Valentina Matviyenko, the chairwoman of Russia's Federation Council, has reminded that the Russian Family Code stipulates that the traditional family consists of one wife, one husband and children, Interfax reports. In her words, traditional values and families needed protection. He later denied ever making such a proposal to the State Duma.
